Typically, hair removal requires 6 treatments spaced 6 weeks apart with occasional touch ups. Laser hair removal is not permanent hair removal, but permanent hair reduction.

Each service has different levels of discomfort. Hair, vein, and sunspot removal feel similarly to a rubber band snap on your skin. Discomfort is decreased and sometimes eliminated by our Zimmer which is cool air that blows on the area during treatments. Optional topical analgesic ointment is available upon request.

Hair growth occurs in 4 different cycles; anagen, telogen, catogen and exogen. The laser is only able to target the follicles that are in their growth cycle (anagen). Because of this, we recommend 6 week intervals between laser hair removal treatments. This practice allows us to target previously dormant hair follicles and provide clients with the most effective results. Results will be more noticeable with each treatment as fewer “activated” hair follicles remain.

No, unlike shaving (which only removes hair above the surface of the skin), or waxing (removing hair from an active follicle (anogen) growth phase), Laser hair removal treatments target the follicle. Once the follicle has been de-activated by the laser treatment, the body will “shed” the hair and absorb the damaged follicle. This usually occurs over a period of 5-10 days, and clients should notice this reduction of hair soon after treatment is performed to the targeted area.
